Goodbye and Thank You from Coach Jason

September 18, 2015

To My Friends and Family at Team Suffolk,

I would like to thank everyone at Team Suffolk for the past 14 years of my life.

The decision to leave did not come easy.  The pool at Hills and the people who occupy it have been my home and family through my post college party years to marriage, mortgage, and babies.  I have met some of the finest people in my life at that pool, from coaches to swimmers to parents.  I have seen some of the most  inspirational performances I will ever see from some of the most inspirational swimmers I have ever coached.  I have spent some of my fondest hours chatting it up with parents at our many homes away from home.  And I have spent countless hours working alongside the best coaching staff one could hope to be a part of.  Coaches, you are my father figures, my confidants, my brothers and my sisters.  Swimmers, you have kept me youthful, enabling me to engage my inner immaturity, and I relish it.    Parents, you have allowed me to be a small part of your children’s lives and for better or worse, I thank you.  You will see me on the pool deck from time to time, I'll be the guy sporting ear buds and twirling the clipboard.

Have a great season TS, and thanks for the memories,

Jason
